A bit of local knowledge pointed us in the direction of this one. Step out of the cold and off the lane way into the little blue door and you find yourself in a warm, buzzing little bar with a roaring fire and plenty of atmosphere and charm.
It was so good in fact, that we abandoned our reservation at a nearby award-winning restaurant and settled in to enjoy one of the fine local Pinot Noir's and to eat by the fire. You can order a pizza or pasta at the bar from nearby "Pesto's" and they'll deliver it straight to you fireside.
Even if you don't go anywhere else in Arrowtown (although you should!), it's worth the 25 minute drive from Queenstown just for a quick drink at the Blue Door.
