We booked the cottage at Ardara. The hosts are friendly but disorganised. Our accommodation was expensive. Based on Ardara's website we expected more farm atmosphere - there was one bull in a paddock. The spa room was dirty and our cottage not completely ready (we delayed our check in to 4.30pm so we could sightsee). One of the hosts had ducked off to get groceries for the cottage pantry; the fridge was dirty, open jars and condiments used by previous guests were provided for our use, dead flies littered the staircase, all windows and glass doors were grubby and covered with cobwebs, very dead flowers lay on the dirty verandah table. This place has such potential but at present it is substandard.
