Verandahs Backpackers Lodge

This was a cozy hostel with a very kind and talkative host who made us feel right at home. Our shared dorm was cozy, warm and the beds felt like heaven after our long flight from LA. The hostel is right in the crossroads of Ponsonby and K-Road. Just a stone's throw from loads of great shops, cafes and clubs. We had a great time strolling through the gorgeous nearby park to the harbor and downtown area just a mere 15 minutes away. The hostel had shared kitchen facilities and a very nice sunroom with games, reading material and internet. The price was phenomenal and the facilties were spotless and quiet. I would definitely return here over the more populated hostels located downtown.
