Southern Laughter Lodge

I would like to review my and my 2 friends experience with southern laughter lounge. On October 3rd, we all booked into a dorm with the southern laughter lounge with our bus company. We got to the hostel and paid for our 2 nights. When we got to the room we discovered there was an elderly male in bed and after seeing an empty bottle of whiskey in the room we could see that he was quite drunk. He mumbled a few words to us as we entered the room. As we were uncomfortable staying in the room we decided to ask reception to see if we could change rooms. The people Reception did little or nothing to help us with our dilema and informed us there was no other places in any other rooms. With that we decided we wanted to cancel our checkin and check out. They agreed to refund us one night only as it was past 7pm. We were clearly unhappy with this offer but as we were keen to get moving we accepted it but we were not very happy. They made no apologies on their part. I was very disappointed with the lack of friendly service from the staff as we were looking forward to staying at the hostel.
