Murchison Museum

This is a "natural" museum with all kinds of things to see just as they were many years ago - without restoration. The simplicity and lack of glitz attracted us. We hope to visit NZ again in 2008 or 2009 and plan to visit this museum again. The two curators were delightful senior ladies in their 80s who were concerned that there might be no one to take over for them we they are gone. The more we think about their concern the more we hope it will not be a problem since there is no question in our minds that this facility should be preserved. If you are in the area be sure to spend a couple of hours in this museum - you will not regret it.
