We enjoyed the walk through a wood and found the site of the farmstead, in a field atop a cliff overlooking the ocean, fabulous. As a farmer's daughter I was fascinated by the outbuildings, especially the stable - very atmospheric. The schoolroom was especially interesting, looking as if the children had just gone home earlier that day.
This would suit a couple like us, a family group, anyone with an interest in history, and New Zealand's in particular.
Thanks to everyone involved in maintaining and preserving places like this. (Date of experience: Mar, 2010 )
