When I arrived at the Wairere Boulders, I did never anticipate what experience I would have. This place is a hidden paradise created by two "crazy" Swiss immigrants. Rob, our tour guide gave us an unforgettable experience walking up the valley of the boulders. I felt very close to and amongst nature and the spiritual essence of our world. Getting ThereComing from Taheke: Drive into Horeke-Taheke Road and follow it for about 14 km. Turn into McDonnell Road on the right and follow the road to the end (ca. 1 km) at the steel gate. Drive through gate and please close gate again. Coming from Horeke: Drive through Horeke and turn left after the bridge. After 2.7 km turn left into McDonnell Road and follow the road to the end (ca. 1 km) at the steel gate. Drive through gate and please close gate again.
