The Nelson Provincial Museum is situated on the corner of Trafalgar and Hardy Streets, Nelson, there are two main gallery spaces featuring permanent and temporary exhibitions, a classroom, museum shop and rooftop garden.

The Nelson Provincial Museum provides our community with the opportunity to learn more about themselves, and visitors to New Zealand are able to discover how the region has played a major role in shaping and defining New Zealand's history.

Functions
*A small boardroom, classroom, the Lower and Upper Foyer areas and rooftop garden can be hired for a variety of functions including book launches, meetings and workshops accommodating up to 150 people. *The Lower Foyer has its entrance from the corner of Trafalgar and Hardy Streets. Toilets are easily accessible. The Lower Foyer adjoins the Lower Gallery and retail shop areas. *Availability of all areas is dependant on the Museum's exhibition and education programme. Audio-visual equipment is available. Venue hire charges apply. All areas have wheelchair access.
