Situated just 10 minutes from Picton by boat The Portage Resort Hotel is a contemporary, relaxing New Zealand resort and has been greeting guests to the Marlborough Sounds for over 100 years.

The resort has a rich history as a special holiday place for New Zealanders and faces into a wide quiet bay. The 35 hotel rooms are spread throughout the gardens with a range of views, particularly of the spectacular Kenepuru Sound.

All hotel rooms have ensuites, colour TV, tea & coffee making facilities, desk and telephones. Double or twin share option available in all hotel rooms. In addition, there are three backpacker rooms, with bunk beds, shared bathrooms and kitchen facilities.

The Retro Lounge Bar spreads to its own conservatory and onto the outdoor deck. *Te Weka Restaurant highlights Marlborough cuisine or you can relax in the casual atmosphere of The Snapper Cafe and Bar, down by the waterside. *Meeting and function facilities are available for 100 people theatre or banquet style. Resort facilities also include a swimming pool & spa.
