Located high in the Southern Alps, Canterbury's Mt Hutt Ski Area receives some of the lightest and driest powder in Australasia. It typically enjoys one of the longest ski seasons in the Southern Hemisphere lasting from early June to late October.

Following a large investment last year into lift and trail infrastructure, Mt Hutt's Summit Six, six seater chairlift offers access to many trails while a novice area is serviced by a dedicated quad chair. A 140m long Magic Carpet into the beginners area means that Mt Hutt has some of the best facilities in the country alongside the best mix of terrain.

Close to Christchurch city and with more than 365 skiable hectares, Mt Hutt offers plenty of variety and every facility for snow sports enthusiasts. A big mountain with great terrain, Mt Hutt offers an awesome, winter experience for all levels of skiers and riders.
