Akaroa French Festival

Akaroa French Festival is a popular annual festival in Akaroa. The event is a celebration of Akaroa's French history and heritage.

The festival starts with an re-enactment of the historic French Landing on the foreshore. This is followed by a heritage parade through the town, and a full entertainment programme in the main marquee on the recreation ground.

Entertainment includes top music, interesting food and wine, and children's entertainment. All events will have a french flavour, with family oriented activities held during the day, and more sophisticated entertainment in the evening.
