London Street, opened in February 2006, has received rave reviews from the Sunday Star-Times Magazine (4 1/2 Stars!!), Cuisine and the Zest section of The Press.
Cuisine (July 2006) stated "I don't want to put words in the woman's mouth but I am pretty sure San Francisco's famed restaurateur Alice Waters would approve of London Street a clattery, chattery, neighborhood place with brick walls, zinc-topped tables and a wood fired grill praise too for the wood grilled calamari (so tender, so smoky, so good) "
The menu is planned around the best seasonal ingredients, which are brought in fresh each day. The extensive and passionately put together wine list merits a trip to Lyttelton all on its own. With over 200 wines by the bottle and more than 30 by the glass, you will definitely find something to tempt & satisfy your wine taste buds.
