We've been hosting farmstay and homestay guests at Glenlea from all over the word for over 25 years now. We are a working sheep and cattle farm so guests can choose to participate in daily farm activities or just relax in our home and garden.

We can accommodate up to 5 people and often cater to family groups. Farmstay cost includes dinner, bed and breakfast plus a tour of the farm. In season vegetables are fresh from the farm garden and meals always include a selection of Judy's home-baked goodies such as bread, desserts, biscuits etc.

Details

Further Information: Glenlea is 530 hectares (about 1300 acres) of mostly hill country. It's been in the family since 1923. We have approximately 2500 sheep and about 100 beef cattle. We use sheep dogs and motorbikes to work the stock.
Please Note: Check in is after 3pm and checkout after 11am. Bookings are essential. We need at least 2 days notice. You can drive here within an hour from Christchurch and there is also a daily bus service. We can pick you up from Christchurch at an additional cost.
