Air - Rotorua Airport has air service links with Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch daily. Rotorua airport is a 15-minute drive from the city. Shuttle buses are available to the city. Fares start from NZ$18 one-way.

Coach - regular scheduled services operate from Auckland and Wellington and other North Island Centres. Inner City Coachlines provide Auckland to Rotorua coaches via Bay of Islands starting from Child: $NZ 97 & Adult: $NZ 145.

Self-drive - Rotorua is about three hours drive from Auckland and about five hours drive from Wellington.
