Located in the heart of the Methven Village at the base of New Zealand's Mt Hutt Ski Area, Big Als Snowsports is Methven's premier specialty ski/snowboard rental, repair and retail store. Big Als Snowsports hire almost everything, just bring your underwear and they can get you sliding.

All Big Als Snowsports staff are dedicated snowboarders and skiers who have grown up on Mount Hutt before heading off to northern winters. Big Als Snowsports has the hugest amount of local knowledge in Methven Mt Hutt Village about the Mt Hutt Ski Area and the surrounding smaller club fields. That's why we are World famous in Methven.

The Big Als Snowsports ski hire consists three ranges. Standard hire is ideal for beginners or progressing skiers. The skis are chosen to have a forgiving nature and to help the progressing skier. An executive range of skis are available for the skier who is comfortable on blue runs and also using black runs from time to time. These skis are more suited to the skier who is carving turns comfortably. Performance skis are for expert skiers. These skis require the skier to be skiing technically well on black runs.
