Mount Cook Salmon is situated in the Southern Lakes area of the South Island of New Zealand at an altitude of 600 metres. The sheer isolation means that the water quality is pristine, with no agricultural or environmental pollution. It is as "clean & green" as is possible. It is said Mount Cook salmon are amongst the healthiest fish on the market.
Mount Cook Salmon farm abides by 100% sustainable farming practices. The fish are maintained at low rearing densities and other than monthly weighups and grading, are handled rarely.
