The Clay Cliffs Estate Vineyard is situated at Omarama about 20km from Twizel. At 400m altitude Clay Cliffs Estate is the highest vineyard in New Zealand, producing cool climate styles of wine.

Clay Cliffs Estate has one of Otago's earliest plantings of Pinot Gris, Muscat and Pinot Blanc. Recent plantings of Pinot Noir and more Pinot Gris have brought the total area under grapes from the original 0.5 hectares to 4 hectares.

Clay Cliffs Estate wines are only available through the vineyard restaurant, but selected chardonnay and Riesling grapes from both their own and other vineyards are used to produce their second label wines - Mt Cook.

The winery features a Tuscany-styled restaurant offering a range of international style food. You can relax by the tranquil ponds, and enjoy a wine from the extensive Clay Cliffs cellar before feeding the large trout that habitate the ponds. The winery is the perfect location for Weddings and other functions.
