Built when Dame Ngaio was just ten and designed by leading Christchurch architect Samuel Hurst Seager, Ngaio Marsh House was the home of Ngaio Marsh - one of New Zealand's most remarkable and charismatic women, a world-renowned crime fiction writer and an eminent Shakespearian producer. Her works to this day still command international acclaim.
