Punakaiki Canoes is a small, locally owned and operated company situated on the peaceful Pororari River. Punakaiki Canoes offers rental kayak trips and guided trips into the heart of the Paparoa National Park 1km north of the Pancake Rocks and blowholes at Punakaiki on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

Committed to offering you a safe and pleasurable experience in a unique area of New Zealand, Punakaiki Canoes have a range of kayaks to suit different needs, this includes doubles as well as singles.

Punakaiki Canoes provide lifejackets, wetsuits, booties and waterproof containers for cameras or lunch. All you need to bring is sun hat, sunglasses, camera, swimsuit and towel and warm clothes.

Things to do: Families and beginner paddlers can enjoy the peaceful Pororari River and lagoon with its majestic limestone gorge and lush rain forest. More adventurous paddlers can explore further up this enchanting river to the lower reaches of Cave Creek.
