Explore 15 unforgettable acres of gardens, ponds and established park-like grounds, just 5 minutes from bush and heritage trails of the Karangake Gorge and 10 minutes from Waihi Beach.

First Established in the 1940's, the gardens feature natural waterways, canopied by mature specimen trees of native and exotic plantings. More than 50 varieties of summer water lilies adorn the ponds and two-acre lake.

At the garden cafe, enjoy superb coffee and fabulous food, freshly prepared on site, a delightful regional wine, or a light refreshment, indoors or out!

Waihi Waterlily Gardens and Cafe are open from Labour Weekend - Easter, 10am-4pm daily, though delightful garden cottages, available all year, enable visitors to extend an enchanting and unforgettable garden experience.

Waihi Waterlily Gardens' luxury self contained garden cottages are available for self-catering, bed and breakfast or fully catered stays. Built for four seasons, bi-fold doors integrate the outside gardens with delightful modern interiors.
Weddings
The Waihi Waterlily Gardens are offered for single-site wedding ceremonies and receptions. The gardens offer multiple ceremony sites within a variety of beautiful settings. The Garden Cafe, with its extensive courtyard, is also available for intimate receptions, while a fabulous marquee site is offered for large events.
