The Banks Peninsula Track starts and finishes at Akaroa in the southeast corner of Banks Peninsula. The unique tramp offers 2 day and 4 day trips across farmland and Hinewai reserve covers 35 km of spectacular volcanic coastline, native bush, waterfalls and sandy beaches.

Beginning in the historic seaside village of Akaroa, New Zealand the Banks Peninsula Track is New Zealand's premier private track and is an excellent eco-tourism experience, providing a diversity of wildlife, scenery and hospitality.

Each night's cosy accommodation reflects the character, history and individuality of the families who live nearby.

Details

Facilities: All the huts contain clean, fully equipped kitchens, including fridges, gas or electric stoves, pots, pans, plates, cups, cutlery etc. The huts contain covered mattresses, pillows and clean pillowcases, however, you will need a sleeping bag to sleep in.
