Conquer the exhilarating Grade 5 rapids of Rangitata Gorge surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Southern Alps with your world class guide.

With 2.5 hours on the river you can swim in the turquoise waters, jump off 'jump rocks' & raft grade fun and exciting 1 - 5 rapids. Relax at our lodge and enjoy the two delicious meals of the day. No previous experience necessary as full training is provided. Option to walk around any rapids and re-join the rafts.

Rangitata Rafts offers day tours from Christchurch or drive yourself. Our lodge is beautifully located only 30 mins from the Christchurch to Queenstown highway so is a perfect way to break the journey. Backpacker style is available or park your campervan up for a night of peaceful relaxation.

Further Information
Full day adventure from Christchurch departs 8.15am return 6.30pm. Or drive yourself, arrive at rafting lodge, 13km from Peel Forest Village 10.30am depart 4.30pm. Day includes; * Fresh appetising lunch on arrival at lodge. * All clothing and rafting equipment supplied. * 2.5 hours of fantastic rafting. * Hot showers on return to lodge * Delicious BBQ meal. * Option to purcahase CD of action images. No previous experience is necessary, but a reasonable standard of fitness and a minimum age of 15 years.
