Situated in a little village called Rahotu, on the wild west coast, 1 hr South of New Plymouth, Tranquil Trekking specialises in novice/beginner riders, taking you from Rahotu down to the beach and return, with a full hour to play on the beach!

Gallop down the stretched out coastline with the salt spray in your hair, or just paddle in the frothing waves. All horses are well trained and all know your ability level.

Tranquil Trekking has nine horses available. Tranquil Trekking also offer overnight treks to the cape lighthouse, personally tailored to your needs.

everything! The horses are well looked after compared to other treks I have been on where the horses looked as though the owners didnt really care about them. The horses on Tranquil Trekking are very well behaved and you even have the honour of meeting a Melbourne Cup 3rd place getter called Goliath!
