Ashpit Place is a private home where you are hosted by the owners, Alison and Scott. A relaxing and peaceful atmosphere in our piece of paradise. Get away from the city and be enchanted by the views and the ever-changing sunsets over the lake and volcanic peaks

The house is set in a Dairy Farm overlooking Lake Rerewhakaaitu with breathtaking sunsets and Mt Tarawera standing a kilometre away. Use our local knowledge of nearby scenic, thermal, walking, fishing, hot pools, adventure, cultural or shopping.

We are a short distance to both Rotorua and Taupo and close to Whirinaki National Park for recreational walking. There is plenty of space to walk at your leisure on our property or by the lake. Dinner available upon request.

Getting There: From Rotorua take H/W 5 south, turn left at Rainbow Mountain (H/W 38) take 3rd left to Rerewhakaaitu, travel to T intersection, turn left, then take next left travel to No 815 just before seal ends. (30mins drive from Rotorua)
Things to do: We are situated right by Lake Rerewhakaaitu where you can walk, fish, kayak etc, are close to the thermal reserves of Waiotapu with Lady Knox geyser, Waimangu which has a great walk and fantastic views of Mt Tarawera, a short drive to the Whirinaki forest which has walks to die for, central to Rotorua and Taupo for shopping.
