The Nest is situated in one of Christchurch's most loved hill suburbs, nestled in a garden of native bush with views from the living areas of our Estuary, Sea and Mountains beyond. Our bed and breakfast is a unique self-contained home, yet with all the service and friendly, personal hospitality of any homestay. THIS IS THE PROMISE OF THE NEST We live right next door and are there for you at all times. We are very close to Christchurch's best beaches with excellent cafes and restaurants, Lyttelton Harbour, The Gondola, plus hillside walks with breathtaking views to the Southern Alps We have easy access garage parking for two cars. The Nest has TV, stereo, DVD and BBQ plus full kitchen and laundry facilities. The neighbourhood is tranquil and safe A baby cot and high chair is available for you. All this only 15 minutes drive from the centre of Christchurch.

Further Information: So if you book with us you will be staying in a 3 bedroom home, and the maximum number of people you would be sharing the whole house with, would be 1 other couple as we only use two bedrooms at any one time The Nest is built on three levels with extensive decking for maximum enjoyment of its hillside setting. There is a lot of inside and outside living space for total relaxation. There is a small library of NZ books for your reading enjoyment Extensive use of natural timber adds to the ambience of the Nest. We invite you to view some of the comments some of our more than 1900 guests have been kind enough to write in our guest book or check our reviews on Tripadvisor.. The Nest is also available for you as a Holiday Home rental, should you so desire.
Getting There: Ask one of the friendly locals for directions to Ferry Road, then please follow Ferry Road east towards Sumner (not Lyttelton). You will soon get to the suburbs of Woolston and then Ferrymead. Follow the road straight through an intersection with traffic lights using the left lane and very quickly you will be on a four-lane bridge over the Heathcote River. Follow the road (now Main Road) around, as it veers left; you will have the water of the Estuary on your left Shortly you will come to Mount Pleasant Road on your right, which you need to turn into up the hill.. Then turn left into Soleares Avenue, which goes down the hill and Toledo Place on the right. Please come to number 15 (proceed past the letterboxes and park opposite No 15) and we will take you over to the Nest at number 24,
