Special Features: During the year, Alpine Scenic Tours run one daily return trip from Taupo to the Tongariro Crossing leaving at 5.45 am and returning at 4.00 pm and 6.15 pm. From Turangi, there are 3 daily transport return trips to the Tongariro Crossing leaving at 6.00 am, 6.30 am and 7.30 am. An extra trip is provided in summer at 0700 hours to Mangatepopo.
