Owen Delany Park is a multi purpose sports ground and currently caters for rugby, cricket, netball, archery, athletics, cycling, orienteering and dog obedience.

Owen Delany Park is Taupo's largest sportsground. The main floodlit field has a capacity for 15,000 spectators including a grandstand with 950 covered seats and 800 uncovered seats. Add to this two corporate lounges, media facilities, ample parking, area for food and beverage sales and five additional practice fields.

Several festivals and community events have been staged at Owen Delany Park and over the years the park has hosted a range of international sporting and event fixtures.

Details

Special Events: The following international rugby teams have played at the park and used the venue for a training base while in a New Zealand tour: South Africa, Italy, Argentina, France under 21s, South Africa under 21s.
Special Events: International Cricket teams including West Indies, India, Zimbabwe and South Africa under 19s have played fixtures against New Zealand at OD Park.
