Taupo Airport

Located in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand and 8km south of the town centre, next to New Zealand's largest lake, Lake Taupo, Taupo Airport is the gateway to central North Island.

The Taupo Airport has approximately 45,000 aircraft movements per year, with approximately 6,000 of these being IFR.

Taupo is home of the Worlds largest commercial Tandem Skydive Drop Zone while scenic flights are available by Helicopters, Floatplanes and light aircraft. Fishing and hunting safaris can be made by boat and air to the regions world famous rivers and lakes.
