Based at Rotorua Airport, North Island, New Zealand, Rotorua Gliding Club has a Pawnee tow plane, Standard Astir single seater and a Bocian two seater for training. Members own a PW5 and an Eon Baby (vintage 1947).
The airport is situated next to the beautiful Lake Rotorua and Rotorua Gliding Club fly over a wonderful landscape of lakes and volcanic formations.
The Club flies on Sundays (weather permitting). Rotorua Airport is a busy regional airport and Rotorua Gliding Club fly under instructions from the Rotorua Tower.
