The New Zealand Language Institute has computers for you to use both in class time and in your own free time. Your teachers encourage you to have your own e-mail address so your friends and family can keep in touch. Your tutors can also show you some good websites for improving your English.

There is a large selection of listening tapes for you to study English in your own time. A great way to learn real life English is from movies. Students have opportunities to watch, discuss and write about movies seen on the big screen TV.

Further Information: Students range in age from 11 to 90. New Zealand Language Institute has many cultures who attend courses some of which are Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Taiwanese, South American, Russian, etc. All students enjoy their time here at the New Zealand Language Institute. Often they meet a wide mixture of people from different ethnic backgrounds and most form good, healthy friendships. Most students leave here knowing that they have the skills and tools required of them to achieve whatever they choose to pursue whether it is here in New Zealand or their life overseas.
