Rod Caudwell, with 18 years experience, has led the industry as a founding committee member of the NZ Rafting Association and as an advisor to the Maritime Safety Authority.

Features
The Kaituna River is the most exhilarating rafting excursion in New Zealand. This trip begins at the outlet of Lake Rotoiti only 20 minutes from Rotorua. Amongst the 15 drops and rapids is the highest commercially rafted waterfall known, Tutea Falls at 7metres high. The Kaituna river is a pool drop river which means there is the excitement of the rapids and then time to collect yourself afterwards.
Further Information
The Rangitaiki River is one of the most scenic rivers in New Zealand. Bordering the Uruwera Mountain Range, the beauty of the area is best seen by raft. The river itself has an abundance of fun rapids - about 50 in an 18km run - however, it is a trip that we have taken customers aged between 10-85 years old and all have a great time. The exhilaration of shooting the rapids and drifting through the wilderness builds up an appetite for the hearty lunch which we will provide.
