The Rotorua Golf Club - (Arikikapakapa) is one of New Zealand's leading golf courses. Situated in picturesque Whakarewarewa, Arikikapakapa is a full 18 hole, all-weather links-style and 9 hole "Thermal" golf course with easy walking and an excellent Golfing layout.

Arikikapakapa is complete with a fully equipped professional golf shop with golf club, golf trundler and electric golf cart hire, making your golfing experience as relaxing as a game of golf can be.

Visitors are welcome - you can reserve your tee-time, and after your golf round take advantage of the fully licensed bar, restaurant, changing room and showers (not necessarily in that order). Enjoy your stay.

Details

History: The first recording of golf in Rotorua dates back to 1902 when a recording was made in the record of the New Zealand Parliament that 'Golf links will undoubtedly prove a source of pleasure to the many visitors and enquiries are being made with a view of establishing them'. From this beginning golf was played on a casual basis at various venues in and around the then small town. It was not until 1906 that the Rotorua Golf Club came to life and has continued strongly to this day.
