Mokoia Island is one of Rotorua's gems situated in the centre of lake Rotorua, it is unspoilt and uninhabited, with bush right to the water's edge.

This sacred island is a place of peace and beauty and steeped in Maori history. It is also a wildlife sanctuary for many of New Zealand's native birds including the North Island Brown Kiwi.

On the lakes edge bathe in the natural thermal pool "Waikimihia". Relax and enjoy the sounds of rare native birds and experience nature unspoilt.
