The Dave Hume swimming complex, in Carisbrook Street, Katikati, plays an important part in making the town and its surrounds a hub for recreational activities in the District.
The complex was enhanced 15 years ago by uncovering a thermally heated water source.
Presently the complex features a 33 metre, 6-lane outdoor heated pool, two hot spas, a children's learner pool and water spray play area. There are also plans to add an indoor heated pool for year round swimming.

- The pool is open every day except Christmas Day throughout the summer season. Gates open at 7.00am during the week and 9.00am at weekends. The complex closes at 6.00pm Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu and 9.00pm Fri, Sat and Sun.
