Queenstown is an ideal place to learn to fly. The weather is variable, however there are very few days unsuitable for flying. This means you have more choice of when and where you want to fly. The airport (approx 10 minutes drive from Queenstown) gives pilots real experience in taking off and landing in busy airspace. Training in this environment is a great advantage for any pilot.

Age: In order to hold a Private Pilots Licence (PPL) you must be 17 years of age. However training can start prior to this. To fly solo you must be at least 16. There are no upper age limits. To obtain a Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) the minimum age required is 18.
