This course will let you discover paragliding. It is organized over 3 consecutive days under the supervision of 2 instructors. At the end of this course you will have your PG1 beginner NZHGPA license. On the first morning you learn to launch and handle the paraglider on gentle slopes close to the ground. In the afternoon, look forward to solo flights from the 150ft training hill.

The next day usually consists of further solo flying, either multiple flights from 150ft or two high flights from Coronet Peak. Three or four hours of theory are taught during the three days.

The Queenstown Paragliding School will provide the student with all of the required paragliding equipment during these classes, including gliders, harnesses, radios, and helmets.
