If you wish to get away from the crowds for a great relaxing time, then this is the boat for you. Classic Cruises is a small, locally owned company specialising in boutique, personalised cruises. Personal attention and informative commentary are provided as you cruise from Queenstown, in a majestic alpine environment, on beautiful Lake Wakatipu New Zealand.

M.V.Yvalda is a beautiful, 48 foot classic twin screw, ketch rigged motor launch, designed by GL Watson, and built in Scotland in 1936 by the renowned boat builders McGruer and Co.

She is a solid, wooden boat of teak and oak and powered by her original Gardner engines. She has spacious decks and wheelhouse, and a cosy comfortable saloon. Built for a Scottish gentleman, Yvalda was once owned by the British Royal Navy and used by Sir Winston Churchill during World War Two.

Further Information: Daytime Cruises: ( 2 hr duration ) Depart daily from the M.V.Yvalda jetty situated a short distance from the Bathhouse Restaurant on the Queenstown Bay beach, under the botanical gardens. Duration is around two hours for each trip, complimentary tea or coffee.
Further Information: Overnight Cruises: These overnight cruises on Lake Wakatipu Queenstown are unique, a very special experience - dinner, bed and breakfast on a ketch rigged launch with all the facilities including heated cabin, bathroom, shower, etc.. The overnight locations are outstanding! Classic Cruises is the only company in Queenstown offering overnight cruises on Lake Wakatipu. We leave Queenstown on a lake cruise toward Walter Peak Station and put down anchor at a sheltered mooring in beautiful Bob's Cove. This overnight dinner, bed and breakfast cruise departs from Queenstown Bay at 5 pm, and returns the following morning at 9:30 am.
