You are invited out for a blissful couple of cold Sherberts and enjoy a World-Class meal in the cosy, welcoming Lone Star Restaurant. For those of you with Children, please bring them with you, as this restaurant is absolutely child friendly. The Kids can choose from their own Menu, colour to their hearts content and amuse themselves with an array of vintage Tonka toys - the greatest play-things ever produced.

Take a pre or post dinner drink in the iconic Café Bar, said to have assisted in the creation of pub culture in NZ. Special Features: The Rattlesnake Bar upstairs, opened in 1992, was known originally as 'The Saloon' and was formerly an old warehouse and a lawn-mower shop. These days the Snake, or 'Rattles', can seat around 60 diners and has become a most popular place to dine in it's own right. It's ambience has a definite emphasis on 'chill'- the music up here leans strongly toward the indigenous, contemporary sounds of NZ-Pacifica. Artists the like of The Black Seeds, Trinity Roots, Shapeshifter, Kora, Katchafire, and Pheonix Foundation all work well in the Rattlesnake and we feature the best local DJ's most nights for your aural pleasure. The Snake is a one-room Entertainment complex - plasma screens upon which to watch the footy (great downstairs too!) and the room is also available for Private Functions.
