With a unique and fascinating collection that has grown to over 30,000 items, the Wanaka Transport and Toy Museum is one of the largest private displays in the Southern Hemisphere. The Wanaka Transport and Toy Museum collection boasts rare and unusual aircraft, cars, trucks, motorcycles, fire appliances, military vehicles and tractors, as well as a colourful array of automotive memorabilia.

It is a varied collection - from tiny children's toys, including a huge range of Barbies, to unusual motorcycles and rare cars, trucks, fire appliances and aircraft. A wonderful selection of more than 25,000 toys is awash with nostalgia, including, clockwork and battery powered toys, pedal cars, moneyboxes, teddy bears and porcelain dolls.
