Fat Boy Charters is a fishing and tour company based in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The Fat Boy Charters vessel is 7.2 metres in length and carries up to six people with all marine safety authority equipment. The boat is a heavy-duty alloy vessel with a 230 horsepower diesel motor. These allow the boat to cruise at 22 knots to your destination, therefore allowing you to have more time to enjoy your passion for all types of fishing from snapper and tarakihi up to hapuku, bass and even marlin.

All fishing gear can be provided from small boat rods up to rods suitable for big game such as hapuka, bass, bluenose and marlin. The boat also has a totally private toilet for any passengers.

Sightseeing can be carried out within the coastal limits including Mayor Island, Plate Island, Motiti Island and other great destinations, which also include the harbour area.

Further Information: The skipper: I have lived in the area for over 30 years and have fished and scuba dived for all this time and still enjoy both sports immensely. I guarantee to give my customers 110 per cent effort to make their day one to remember. Your destination can be to any of the outlying Islands either for fishing or purely sightseeing. In addition, tours of the beautiful Tauranga harbour can be carried out on request.
