Functions: Wanting to find a location for your staff function where action and laughter are encouraged? Where family members are encouraged to join your staff; or just a place where a private function can be held long after the public leave? Waimarino's location allows for self catering or we can organise caterers at a budget you choose. Relax by the river as dusk settles and enjoy the function. Waimarino is able to run a variety of other functions and team challenges. Tell us what you want and we can design a package to suit you. Wedding photos can be arranged right through to the whole function.
Awards: Waimarino has won most of the local tourism awards and continues to set the mark in the tourism scene in the Bay of Plenty. Waimarino has been carrying the Green Blobe Bench marked status for the last 2 years. Waimarino has also been givin the Qualmark approved status recently and we are involved with the new sustainable tourism charter and have become a pilot business. New Zealand kayak slalom champions have trained here. Waimarino's kayak school programmes have been at the base level for over 30 years and now we are producing many of New Zealands white water kayak slalom champions. Many of these young people have been to Junior Olympics and continue to push the expedition and exploratory boundaries.
