At the heart of the Waikato, in the picturesque town of Te Kauwhata is a small winery, making a big name for itself. Rongopai Wines burst into the wine scene in the early 1980's but has really come alive in the last 2 years with an impressive line up of wines of exceptional quality.

Rongopai Wines, until now, have been the "Waikato's best kept secret". However, this is all about to change. The recent establishment of new distribution networks, both in New Zealand and overseas will see Rongopai realise even greater potential in extending the wine capabilities still further; showing New Zealand winemaking can be much more than simply producing Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Created by internationally acclaimed Winemaker - Emmanuel Bolliger, our wines are carefully mastered to capture the true essence of winemaking excellence. Our winemaking future continues to look bright, with the acquisition of grapes from the key winegrowing areas of the country, assisting us in the continued pursuit of producing wines of outstanding quality for which Rongopai has become increasingly synonymous.
