Family Adventures

Family Adventures specialise in a half day of expedition style adventure with plenty of variety and activity for families and small groups in the upper reaches of the famous Shotover River in Queenstown.

Recently rebranded and locally owned and operated by Craig Scott and Mark Forsyth who collectively have 36 years experience in the Queenstown tourism and rafting industry, Family Adventures offers an unforgettable Queenstown excursion, starting on the historic and spectacular Skippers Road leading to the Shotover Canyon, then winding along the cliff face 100m above the river in some places (don't tell Mum!). The adventure continues at "The Ford of Bruinen" where you get on the water and head down the grade 2 rapids in either guided rafts or inflatable kayaks. See gold mining relics and sheer canyon walls as you navigate the Shotover River, with plenty of photo stops, river swims and rock hopping.

Craig and Mark's experience really shines on this trip, with plenty of snacks and activities for the kids and NZ beverages along with a whole plethora of yarns and history for the adults.
