Station73 Cafe and Springfield Information Buro is based at the Springfield Railway Station which is a heritage railway building. We offer a friendly helpful service and can book for you any of the activities in our region, accommodation and of course the Tranz Alpine Train Journey, this departs daily from Springfield.

The Station73 Cafe offers you our freshly baked muffins, slices, try our scrummy gourmet pie or toasted sandwiches with a pot of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. "Come and sit for a while" and enjoy the magnificent views of the Torlesse Range - foothills of the Southern Alps before making your journey on through the most spectacular scenery on the Great Alpine Highway SH73.

The station holds photos and memorabilia of the history of Springfield and Midland Railway Line or browse through our local quality handcrafts including Alpaca Products, picture framing, candles to name a few.

Opening Times: Open Daily: 8.30am - 5.00pm November - March 8.30am - 4.00pm April - October with less hours in the mid winter months Bookings can be made from 7.30am. If you do not reach someone to speak to on the phone please leave a message with your contact phone number - we are in constant check with our messages and will return your call at our earliest convenience.
Groups: Station73 Cafe seats up to 50pax and offers a great facility for group bookings including lunches, morning or afternoon teas, special functions, birthday parties, christmas parties, etc. Please contact if you would like to see menus for your specific function or booking. We prepare all food on site with the freshest ingredients and cater for special dietary requirements - you would need to notify us of these before the day of booking. We pride ourselves on great service with the added touches.
