Kaihu Farm

Set on 14 acres of bush and farmland with tracks crisscrossing the bush, Kaihu Farm Backpackers is a small farm offering double rooms, twin rooms, and dorm beds. There is an outdoor dining area and spacious lawns with a lovely view over the hills and valley. The kitchen is fully equipped and fresh homemade meals are available upon request as well as barbecue and roast meal nights.

Kaihu Farm Backpackers is the nearest hostel to the giant kauri trees and only ten minutes drive from the beach where you can go for a swim in the crystal clear Kai Iwi Lakes. Walk the six hour tramp over the Maunganui Bluff along the beach to the Lakes. Take one of the mountain bikes provided to the Trounson Kauri Park, or relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Kaihu Farm, its animals and glow worms in the bush at night.
