Set on a 50acre Estate in Akaroa lies an idyllic wedding venue with a difference. Mt Vernon Lodge has a wedding venue, reception hall, accommodation, activities in one place and throws in stunning ocean views, beautifully landscaped grounds and roaming peacocks to compliment the surroundings.

We can offer a complete wedding package and make it a stress-free experience. It is a completely self-contained complex and whereas most weddings last just 10 hours, at Mt Vernon Lodge they last the whole weekend and guests get to relax in beautiful surroundings and catch up with people they may not have seen for a long time.

Mt Vernon has a range of accommodation for up to 50 guests. The main lodge has six suites. It also has a lovely communal area with a sunken open fire place with seating around it, a fully equiped kitchen, expansive deck overlooking Akaroa with bbqs etc. Two boutique cottages ,Two self contained cabins, 1 alpine lodge. A fully equipped function room for up to 100 guests, onsite equipment hire.
