Nestled right inside a sacred National Park and just a short drive from Mt Ruapehu, Tongariro Holiday Park offers both powered and non-powered sites, as well as 40 different park cabins.

Whether you want to ski the awesome Whakapapa Ski Field, challenge yourself to New Zealand's best one day walk, the Tongariro Crossing, Tongariro Holiday Park is the ideal place to stay. A car ferrying service for walkers/trampers who take on the legendary Tongariro Crossing is also provided.

There's a great café on-site, serving hearty breakfasts, good coffee and a yummy selection of lunches and dinners. A lovely private spa pool, perfect for soothing muscles after a rewarding day out in nature and lakes and rivers abound for you to swim, kayak, raft or go Trout fishing in.

Groups: Tongariro Holiday Park is perfectly equipped to host large groups - school groups, clubs and societies etc. Catering for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for up to 65 (larger groups may be possible by arrangement) in the separate, purpose-built commercial kitchen can be arranged as well as packed lunches for groups for your days on the mountains and lakes. Many hiking clubs, school classes, fly fishing groups and camera clubs have already had a great time staying with us.
