Sunny holiday home in the Riwaka Valley, Motueka. Child friendly & close to all amenities and recreation. Explore the Abel Tasman National Park, take a trip to Golden Bay or laze away the days on the beaches of Marahau & Kaiteriteri, just minutes away.

The cottage overlooks the kiwifruit orchard with pine forest to the rear and is set well away from the road with plenty of parking space for your car or boat.

Two bedrooms sleep four persons in comfort in one queen & 2 bunk beds. The living area has a double sofa bed & a portacot & highchair are available on request. The kitchen is fully equipped & the living/dining area has Sky TV & CD player. The large, sunny deck is furnished with table, chairs & gas BBQ & has stunning views across the valley.

On site attractions include small farm animals (calves and sheep), dogs, horses, free range hens, peacocks and ducks. Fish for trout in the Riwaka River which runs alongside the property or 10 minutes away is the larger Motueka River.

Getting There: Head in the direction of Takaka from Motueka on State Highway 60 and continue through Riwaka, past the hotel and service station on your left and over the Riwaka River Bridge. Pass "Cook Corner" on the main highway, passing the turnings to the Abel Tasman via Kaiteriteri and Marahau on your right. Drive for 2 kms more on SH60, past Fraser's Orchard on your right, till you see the sign for Fairfield Orchards on your left, just as Takaka Hill begins to climb, turn left into Riwaka Valley Road. Orchard View is the second house on the left, after the one lane bridge about 2.5 kms from the main road.
Things to do: 15 minutes to sandy beaches and the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks. Wine and craft trails just minutes away. Horse riding, golf, sea kayaking, day cruises, fishing, walks, Mt Arthur.... and more. Fish for trout on site or help with the animals at feeding time. Alternatively relax on the sunny deck and listen to the abundance of native birdsong.
