The Eggers have been farming Nelson's Moutere soils since 1859 and are recognised for producing consistently high quality wines. Himmelsfeld Vineyard has an acre each of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, planted on the north west aspect to capture the all important heat of the afternoon Nelson sun. (Nelson has the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand every year).
Himmelsfeld wines are the product of the Moutere terroir: high sunshine hours, high UV levels, warm summers, cool autumn nights, and of course the all important Moutere clay. Taste the difference, taste the passion!
