Auckland Motor Park is one of the closest camps to the city, providing quality budget accommodation with easy access to Auckland's main tourist attractions. It is only minutes from public transport, shopping malls and various restaurants.

All of the two bedroom flats, tourist cabins, and on-site caravans have full cooking facilities while one room flats have only a microwave oven. All accommodation, flats and cabins are well furnished and have a TV. Alternatively the well lit barbecue area and spacious kitchen with its own TV are handy to those using tent and caravan sites.

The motor park also has a children's playground with trampoline and flying fox. There are also toilet and shower facilities for travellers with disabilities.

Getting There: Travelling north into Auckland on SH1 take the North-Western Motorway exit leading to Henderson and Helensville (SH16). Take the Great North Rd off-ramp to Avondale and proceed along Great North Road. Turn left into Blockhouse Bay Road, then left at New North Road. Bollard Avenue is 300 m on your right.

When staying in a tourist cabin there were hundreds of tiny cockroaches coming out of the plug of the kitchen sink. Later found a large one from under the fridge.
